Croatian islands

With 1244 islands, reefs and cliffs, Croatian coast is is one still indented and most beautiful in the world. 50 of them are inhabited. Rugged Croatian coastline attracts tourists from all around the world.

Each island has it's primal soul and diversity.

The specificity of the islands and life on the island is relaxed, peaceful way of life and enjoy the beauty of the landscape and climate. Many island places delight with it's beautiful architecture, ancient monuments and atmosphere.

Urban insular areas recognized by the church bell towers, churches, natural and art collections, monuments of secular and religious architecture from the near and distant historical periods invites you to enjoy their visit.

The specificity of some islets, reefs and rocks stone are signposts and marine keepers - lighthouses, which are now largely automated, but a dozen lighthouses still resists automation and have a permanent crew. Some of them are governed by the charter and adventure on a desert island.

The biggest Croatian islands are:

  •  Middle Dalmatia islands: Brac, Hvar, Vis
  •  Northern Dalmatia: Dugi otok and Pag
  •  Kvarner: Krk, Cres, Rab
